Indian Summer

Okay tell me who has not been enjoying this weather. Today is is going to be 78. Wow, this is November right. SO as with all things, it must come to an end. Winter is knocking and I think it is coming in. Tomorrow there will be a 20 degree difference and rainy. Boohoo. So take ever minute you have today and enjoy Gods creation. Count the leaves. Talk about the colors. Play with the kids outside. Just do whatever you can to love on each other.
So get out there and play. :)

A trip to the ER

So yesterday was Sunday. It was a great day of worship. We all made it to church and Pippi actually stayed in nursery the entire time. This was looking like it was going to to be a great day. Do not get me wrong any day you can worship the Lord is a great day. I just mean a great family day. So we were heading out to the car laughing and being frogs. Thinking where were we going to go for lunch when Tornado started jumping. So as any good mom would do I tried to help him jump a little higher. That is when it happened, I dislocated his elbow. :( I thought I had just scared him but no, I hurt him. So of course I feel like a terrible mom. So we take him to the Summit ER. By the way they were so great to us. David holding him, me bawling they took us right in. Thank you. Anyway to make a long story short he had what they call "Nursemaids" elbow. Turns out this happens all the time. Which made me feel a little better. They just took his little arm in their hands and with a twist it popped right back in place. And just like that Tornado was back. He could move his arm again it was GREAT. I was never so happy to see him put his thumb in his mouth. So here is my recommendation DO Not do the 1,2,3 jump it could really do some damage. I had no idea, but I learned the hard way. So it was very scary for about 2 hours, he is really fine. Trust me he is back to his Tornado self and I could not be happier.

Falling for Fall

I love Fall. I am so excited that my kids love it too. Yesterday was a great day. My husband raked up a big pile of leaves. Then all three of my boys, yes David too, jumped into the pile. They laughed, rolled and just had a great time. They even took turns burring each other. It was a wonderful way to spend our 15Th wedding anniversary. Yes that is right we have been married for 15 years. Wow where has the time gone. I am so thankful to be married to my best friend and together we get to raise three wonderful children. So I encourage you all to go find a pile of leaves and jump right in. You wont regret it.

Much needed rain

I am so glad that we are finally getting some rain. It has been so dry here. One of the best things about the rain is, that it makes great sleeping weather. So this morning I knew that I would want to take a nap. So even though it is my "day off" I worked out any way. I am hoping this will give me the energy to fight off sleep. Maybe I will go out and run in it. That should wake me up. Plus I do need a shower. :) So hope you all are enjoying the rain too.

Day off

This is just a quick update on my exercise. I plan to take Weds. off. So no structured work out today. I still feel like I did something though. I carried 6 loads of laundry up my 3 flights of stairs. I can really feel it in my legs. Keep asking me about. I need your support. Thanks and I will talk with you all about it again tomorrow.

I Love to exercise

No not really. I am just saying it so that maybe I will. I am going to keep saying it until I do. So this is notice to all my fellow Rockers... I am going to do some form of IT M,T,TH,Fri. For 20 minutes at first. Then work my way up. So please hold me accountable and I will keep you updated.

So today I just got done walking my 3 flights of stairs in my house. My daughter looked at me like I was nuts, but it felt good. I thought I was going to die around the 10 minute mark but the next thing I knew I had walked for 21 minutes. So I am starting out in a new adventure. My own amazing race. See you at the finish line.

Surprise

Well now I can share all. This Saturday night I was able to surprise my Husband for only the second time in our 15 years of marriage. I threw him a surprise 40Th birthday party. With the help of a lot of friends. Extra big thanks go out my Mom & Adair. I could not have pulled this off without you two. You two were awesome. Thank you to everyone that came. It was so special to see you all. We had new friends and some old friends it was so special. I want to give a big thank you to Paul, Bruce, Justin & Christopher! You all did great on the roast of David. He was surprised and very touched. And Christopher thanks for your help with the sound set up. The music was awesome. You are so cool. So here is how it went...

David thought we were coming for a Sunday school party at our church, but it was a party for him. Hahaha. We walked in to SURPRISE. His face turned red I knew I had got him. It was awesome. We then ate hot wings & cake, listened to great 80's music and then roasted him. It was more than even I expected. So thanks again to all who made this night so special. We love you all!!!

Now I am on to planning my little princess one year birthday party. I think it will be much easier to surprise her. lol

GO DAWGS!!!!

Friday again :)

Well here it is Friday again. Do not get me wrong I am glad . I just can not believe another week went by so fast. These days it feels like life is passing at light speed. I am so busy. I need to slow down and take some time for me.

Last night was great! The Bible Girls were here and we met with God. It was awesome. I so love to see how He is working in each one of their lives. It is so up lifting and encouraging. I especially love to see how they each bring something different and God uses that every week. They are truly a blessing.

So big news about this weekend. I will blog about it later. Hope you all have a great weekend. I will blog again soon. Hopefully:)

Hooray for Friday

This has to be my favorite day of the week. For one it starts the weekend. The beginning of family days as boo likes to call it. I love just being a family. Sometimes we stay in our pj's all day it is great. I also love it because last night was Thursday and that means the Bible girls were here. My time with them is so special. We have some new faces and some returning old faces. It is awesome. I can not wait to see what God is going to do with this group of very special women. So here we start our new journey...the bible girls and Priscilla Shirer. I hope to add all the great things God will do in this season. So look forward to the praises.

Family is so special

This was one of the best weekends ever. My sister and brother-in-law and my nieces & nephew came for a visit. I so love to be with them. The cousins get along really well. The house is full of laughter. It is great. Truly the pitter patter of little feet has got to be one of the best sounds ever. It was awesome my bro-in-law did some handy work around the house. Thanks a bunch! My favorite part is just being with my best friend. I miss her so much. We live 9 hours apart. Sometimes it might as well be three days it seems so hard to see each other. So to have her come see our new house was great. I hope to get home soon and spend some more time chatting, scrap booking, etc. I think we are going for a pedicure when I come for my visit. I am so looking forward to that. So next time you get to spend sometime with your family, take full advantage of it. Hug a little longer!

Schools in

Well here we are now in the second week of school. We have open house tonight so we are going to meet Boo's teacher. He seems to like her. Tornado is very and I do mean very happy to be back at school. He is such a social bug. So it is just me and sister at home. I am still trying to get adjusted to the new schedule myself. I am mostly trying to get use to how quiet it is. I am looking forward to all the things me and pretty are going to get to do. So look at your calenders and lets see when we can do lunch. :)

Big boy

Wow, that is all I can say. Were has the summer gone? I now have a first grader. He is growing up to fast. I noticed this morning he is about to loose both of his front teeth. It is like he is sheading his "babyness". I am watching him turn into a big boy right before my eyes. I am so not ready. At the begining of summer I was afraid of all the time and what we were going to do with it. Now that it is over I want to do it all over again. So as I type this I am praying that I will start to enjoy the NOW, for tomorrow I am going to wake up and he is going to be a big boy. Just when I think he does not need me I hear him calling. I had to run and kiss a booboo. Thank you Lord for giving me some more time with my little man.

Scardy Cow

Well last night was great. I really enjoyed the time with my Bible Girls. They are such a joy to me. I actually stayed out until 11:00. I can not remember the last time I did something like that. It was great. We laughed, we cried, we coughed at the smokers it was a blast. Thank you to Starbucks we were able to hang out and enjoy our coffee. Well I don't drink coffee, but I did enjoy a "frap." So while I was out with the girls, daddy was out with the boys. Our little boys that it. They are 6 years old and 2 years old. They go to Chick-fil-a when I am with the girls. This is were the six year old (boo), told his first joke. There was a sign with a cow on it,and the cow has a sign on his belly. My two year old (tornado), said he was hiding. This got boo to thinking. He said, "Do you know what a cow says when he pops out at you...MOO." They laughed all night. I think Daddy thought it was the best. He is telling everyone at work today. Just goes to show you never know what your kids are going to say. They are definitely smarter than we give them credit for. So next time you are walking by a barn watch out for those silly cows. One might jump out from behind a bail of hay and say MOO.

Ramblings

Okay here we are...life without the PS2. I think we are going to live, but we are going through some withdrawls. At times I do not know who is worse Boo or his Tutu. If it is up to them we will have one of our own by this weekend. I hope to wait until after school starts. I think it will be much easier to start school without it. We enjoyed having it but is nice to see my son doing something else.

School starts in less than two weeks. where has the summer gone? My son will be starting 1st grade. He is getting so big. Wow I look forward to seeing what is instore for this year. Please pray for his teacher. That she is the perfect fit. The one God has for him. Pray we have a great school year.

I get to spend some great time with my Bible Girls tonight. I am so looking forward to it. Enough of my rambling. more later.

Thats life.

Yard vs Garage

Well here is the great debate. As was were cleaning out our garage and getting ready for a sale, we started a discussion. Is it a Yard sale or a Garage sale? And why is it called either. We are not selling yards or garages. I can understand yard sale because we put it out in the yard. Is it called garage because that is were all the stuff you don't want ends up for sale? I am sure you all have opinions and I would love to hear them. So please shed some light on this subject for me. By the way it will be this Saturday that we have our Stuff Sale that we will be putting in the driveway. So maybe we should say we are having a driveway sale.

21 Days

When I was little Star wars came out at the movies and it was awesome. Now my son gets to experience it it a way I never even dreamed of. We had to act it out. Here he gets to be them.
Wow is all I can say. It has now been 11 days and counting down. We have been lucky to borrow a good friends PS2 while he is out of town. My son is now addicted to Star Wars. Morning, noon, and night it is when can I play? How about now, how about now, how about now. I have never seen him so dedicated. I know there are several of you out there that can sympathize, but this is all new to me. Boo is usually such a shy quite kid. This has opened a whole new side of him. I have enjoyed the time we are spending together and seeing his imagination grow. I do think I will miss it on some level, but I do look forward to less how about nows. I think we have found his Christmas gift. Thank you Jonah for letting borrow the Ps2. It has been a blast.

six kids

Well this 4th of July was a wow. And I do not mean because of the fireworks. We had six, yes six kids in the house. They are all cousins. They had a blast. We played at Chick-fil-a, McDonald's and even at Home Depot. I think the most fun they had was running through the sprinkler. Oh to be young again. I just wish they new how lucky they have it.
The most challenging part about the weekend for us adults was getting this picture. They look like angels. Pictures can be deceiving. No really they are angels. They are all gifts from God, true blessings. I can not wait for them all to get together again and see what happens next.

daddy's girl

I know that we all have to get older. Usually it does not bother me. It is when I stop and think- If I am getting older, that means my parents are getting older, and that is when I get sad. I know that we all are here but for a short time. I just wish I could spend more of it with my Daddy. You see I am a Daddy's girl. Always have been always will be. So I was so excited about the weekend. This weekend was great. My daddy came to visit. We had not seen him since October of last year. The last time he was here he was in heart failure and we did not even know. We are so lucky that God is looking out for him (even though he does not want him to)! He is suffering from an irregular heart beat. This causes him to go in and out of a-fib. He is on some medication to help and it is working, thank the Lord. I pray for complete healing for my Dad. I see God is working. I hope one day my Dad can know it is God working.

missing daddy

Yes he is on a trip. Can you believe it. We just get back and he has to go out of town. What a bummer. Here is to tomorrow.
Tuesday June 24

The kids & I went to Atlanta, Ga. for the weekend. Was a good trip. All the kids enjoyed playing together. The most fun was when we went to the pool. I think my kids are part fish.

I enjoyed going to see my brother. It was an important weekend for him & his church. I am so glad that I got to be apart of the celebration. I am so proud of my little bro. He is a great pastor.

Glad to be home. We are just going to rest today. Maybe catch up on our sleep. I hope.

The Beginning

Thursday June 19th

This is my first venture into blogging. I hope to keep more connected to my friends and family. Giving them a look into our life day by day. This is going to be very simple. I hope.
